Vinopolis says g'day to the 'Regional Wine Heroes'.. With Australia being the fourth largest wine exporter in the world distributing 715 million litres around the planet, and the UK alone importing 268 million litres of Aussie vino each year, Vinopolis has secured some delicious wines from the ‘Regional Heroes’ collection for a two week celebration of Australia Day on the self-guided wine tour. 2011 is set to be a great year for foodies, and a selection of the best restaurants launch this year can be seen here. February sees the launches of Nopi and Spice Market, while other events include Hepworth Wakefield Trust Press Breakfast (3rd) and Gordon Ramsay Pop-up (4th). Giorgio Locatelli (from Locanda Locatelli) will be stepping into the HIX Restaurant and Champagne Bar at Selfridges on the 10th to create a sumptuous Italian feast, while the month closes with the East Sussex seaside town of Rye hosts the ten-day Rye Bay Scallop Festival from the 18th.

Father and son Albert and Michel Roux Jr are working together for the first time in 19 years in a new collaboration with The Landau, London. February sees the launch of 3 hotels in the capital. The Four Seasons, Park Lane starts the month off. This £125 million development includes a rooftop spa, the only one of its kind in London.
