Chateau Saint Jeannet - France

Chateau St Jeannet was built in the early part of the 11th century as a defensive fort against the Italians. The builder was Marquis Villeneuve whose family were responsible for the defence of southern France. Through the middle ages the Chateau was destroyed and rebuilt several times and in it’s last encounter with the Italians the Chateau suffered an enormous blow and remained as ruins for more than a hundred and fifty years.
The French actress, Viviane Romance, endeavoured unsuccessfully to rebuild the chateau in the Fifties . It subsequently fell into dis-repair until is was recently restored to it’s former glory. Now stands a breathtaking fortress with stunning views, ideally suited for seclusion, privacy and relaxing in the quiet hills of the busy Cote D’Azur.
Sincura are delighted to offer our members the opportunity to be amongst the very few people who have used the Chateau for private hire on weekly, monthly or yearly terms. Located just 15 minutes from Nice Airport, It provides a perfect location for holidays, high profile and celebrity weddings, product launches and corporate events.
ExtreriorChateau Saint Jeannet covers 3 hectares of ground in it's hilltop position. It is surrounded by 4 terraces and landscaped gardens. More than 6000 plants and trees were planted in the Chateau to create a natural garden to enhance and compliment the chateau’s surroundings. There are also many mature trees in the Chateau which together form the foundation of a magical place.
